How topics shown are connected to information located online or in "Help".
These will appear underlined when pointed to & the cursor changes to a pointing hand.
The hyperlink accesses and displays the information associated with it.

Appear directly in the ribbon.
Display changes that would be made if command were performed without actually performing it.

Displayed over each available feature; typing a letter will access that feature.
Depending on which letter you pushed, additional key tips may appear.

Another method of accessing commands.
Appears automatically when you select text in a document.
Provides commands that are used to format (enhance) text.
Appears along side the context menu when you right-click an item.
Displays the most frequently used formatting commands (like font, size, color, etc.)

AKA: Contextual Tabs
Displayed on-demand (only as needed).
Saves space.
Ex. when working with a picture, the picture tools tab appears.

Is just that - it provides quick access to frequently used commands.
Ex's. Save, Print, Undo, etc.

Can customize & is always available.

Provides a centralized area that makes it easy to find ways to work in your document.
Displays below the title bar.
Contains 3 basic parts - tabs, groups, & commands

AKA: Tooltip
Briefly appears displaying the command name and keyboard shortcut for the given command.

To the right of the document window.
Allows you to scroll the length of the document.

Colored highlight bar that appears over a selected command.

Both parts of button display tooltips containing the button name, shortcut key combinations, and a brief description of what clicking the button does.

Horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the page.
Works the same as the vertical scroll bar.

Provides more detailed information about a given command.
May display information such as, procedures or illustrations.
Allows user to find out what the feature does without having to look it up in Help.
Can automatically access Help article from Super Tooltip by pressing F1.

Used to divide a ribbon into major activity areas.
Tabs are organized into groups containing related items.

AKA: Dialog box
Contains additional options.
Click the button with a diagonally facing downward arrow.

AKA: Screen tip
Briefly appears giving the command name and keyboard shortcut.

A set of graphical images that represent various features.
Ex. File menu, Ribbon, Quick Access Toolbar, task panes, and Office Help, and starting & exiting an application.
