Why was World War I called 'The Great War'?
Because it involved most of the European countries and many from North and South America (The entire world was at war). Also called a Total War. Other idea include growth of Nationalism, Imperialism, Militarism, new kinds of warfare and technological advances, the fact that all of the world’s major powers were involved, and the ramifications of how the war changed the global landscape.
Name three important features of the Treaty of Versailles and three problems that came about from it?
Examples include created league of nations, territorial losses, military restrictions, blame placed solely on Germany, Germany had to pay reparations, flawed peace plan, punished only a few countries, bitterness created between major powers, and betrayal.
