Precipitation is the water that falls from clouds as rain, snow, sleet, or hail.
What is sleet?
Sleet is frozen raindrops formed when the air is really cold near the ground.
What is rain?
Rain is precipitation when the temperature between the cloud and the ground is warmer than 0°C.
What is hail?
Hail falls from a cloud when it is too big for the upward winds to lift it.
What is snow?
Snow is precipitation when the temperature between the cloud and the ground is less than 0°C.
