What are transform plates?
Two plates slide past each other. But the movement is not smooth due to friction between the rocks of the two plates.  Therefore, sometimes the two plates would get 'stuck' and lock together. When there is sufficient buildup of pressure, rocks in the plates break and get jerked apart. This results in earthquakes.

What are convergent plates?
Two plates are moving together and the crust is destroyed and recycled back into the Earth as one plate dives under another. Mountains and volcanoes are often found where plates converge.

There are 3 types of convergent plate boundaries:
Oceanic-Continental Convergence
Oceanic-Oceanic Convergence
Continental-Continental Convergence
